Yea I will say mine is way too fricking sensitive. Ill be a good bit behind someone turning on a side street and itll start going crazy/ apply the break. I need to go in and turn off the auto breaking. I like the alert just not the breaking.

You'd be pretty stupid to not want this.

That's because the vast majority of the people driving aren't good at driving and/or not paying attention.

Or people could stop staring at a phone and not slam into the person in front of them. But you're right, that's probably way too much to ask today and the electronic nanny can offset stupidity.

Funny how driving a manual would solve a lot of these issues, just because you actually have to be involved while you drive the car.

You're an idiot for thinking it's just to stop people from rear ending you. Most rear end accidents are from people not hitting the brakes hard enough. The emergency braking adds sensitivity to the brakes to prevent you from rear ending the dumbass that pulls out in front of you or slams their brakes because they messed up.

those safety features are the reason why car and insurance cost is out of control.

you would think having them would lower insurance.

Is high beam assist the thing that automatically turns my lights on and off? Because that’s the only thing I actually need.

And windshield replacement costs have skyrocketed due to “calibration”

Had a 21 Ram Limited Loaded. Pretty much drove itself. The tech would glitch quite a bit. I traded it in for a used 21 GMC 4x4, dumb truck and I like it alot better.

Now my wife's Summit L is loaded and its great. Massaging seats and self driving pretty much. Kinda unsafe cause the seat massage is awesome!

I grew up driving a truck on the farm with no brakes or seat belt and the bench seat slid around cause it wasn’t bolted down.

Engine leaked oil so bad out the valve covers you had to drive with your head out of the window because of the smoke pouring through the vents

So no I don’t need all of that

The adaptive cruise and collision avoidance braking can be nice. Saved my wife from hitting someone this week. Some teenager pulled out in front of her and before she could do anything her SUV was braking hard. Caught her off guard at first, but she was thankful for it.

I’ll always have one vehicle with super cruise. So nice on long trips.

Calls someone an idiot for saying it stops people from rear-ending cars... then describes a scenario where it stops someone from rear-end another car. Well done.

I have the Sonata. Pretty sure you can go in and change the distance setting so it doesn't go off as frequently. Mine will beep when I get pretty close to someone, but has almost never applied the breaks itself.

Pre-collision braking Adaptive cruise control Lane departure warning

Glad my car has these. I use adaptive cruise and lane keep assist on interstate drives often.

I don’t use these. I find the high beam assist to be irritating.

remote start

Use it on hot/cold days.
