I don't think having someone more accomplished would do much fr me. It's not high on my list.

We have so many kids together that we would just have to live with each other if one of us turns into a jackass. I’m decent looking with a good job and no chick would be knockin’ on my door with six kids in the mix.

Yes, I would. That said, I'm in a great spot now. You can make what you want out of any situation.
If my wife left me it would be her stupid decision, and I wouldn't want to be with someone that made that decision anyway.

Fuuuuuuuuuck no. I would be an emotional fricking wreck for at least the next year or two.

I would save around $800 a month on her health insurance, so yes.
Would be hard to run her off after 40 years married.

Our marriage is really strong. Her suddenly leaving me today would be devastating emotionally and financially. But I would eventually pick myself off the dirt and come back stronger.

She's my best friend and we've shared our entire adult lives together. All of my good memories are with her. And we have kids.
I would never find anyone more fun and loyal.
So, no. I would not consider that a good situation.

Financially? Sure.
Emotionally and everything else? Hell no. My wife is my rock

I think anyone in a loving relationship would acknowledge that losing a SO would be an emotional time. However, I think the cards get overplayed about not being able to move on.

We have same amount in retirement accounts so that would break even.
We make close to same money and visitation would be 50/50 so no absurd child support payments.
Bank accounts are joint so that would be the biggest wildcard.
I'd let her and kids live in the house till they graduated then split equity.
It would be very taxing on us as a family. But anyone that doesn't start thinking about the financial repercussions of divorce after the very first thought of asking for her hand. Is simply blind and probably shouldn't be getting married to start with. Sure betas will tell you it's all about love and this or that. All the while their wife runs their complete life and will destroy it as soon as she figures out being married to a bitch boy isn't what she thought It'd be. And they are left broken and BROKE. frick that noise. I love my wife but not enough to blindly let her ruin my complete life and future.
Women are the most fierce animals on the planet and will only seek out total destruction in your life once they've been wronged or find better dick than yours.

No. Our son is 13....she should probably wait to leave. She is 42, so likely there’s no better time, it’d just be bad for me and our boy.
