The Pontic kingdom had a pretty fricked up way of executing someone. It was only used once.
They take someone and cover their body in honey. Then encase them in two hollowed out boats, leaving only their arms, legs, and head exposed.
Then every day, they have someone force the guy to drink huge quantities of milk every day till he gets massive diarrhea. Bugs would crawl into the boat and swim up the anus into the intestines.
The guy they did this to went crazy almost immediately but it took him 14 days to die.

Like already mentioned, some of that medieval torture crap was pretty horrific. Man's inhumanity to fellow man sometimes knows no bounds.
Burning to death would be very painful for a while until shock sets in, then it's nothing.
I've spoken to a couple of people that came very close to drowning and they said it was way more peaceful than they thought it would be. Both were brought back with CPR, so they were on the brink of death.

Sounds awful but I’m skeptical it was used much. Simpler and easier horrible methods were crucifixion, burning, flaying, breaking with the wheel. Brazen bull sounds horrific and might really be the worst.

Unless you bled out quickly from them biting off an artery yeah I agree being eaten would be the worst. After the initial panic drowning is supposed to be peaceful.

Being eaten wouldn’t bother me, as long as I was dead first.

Being stuck in a dark and confined place - like wedged in a cave. The sheer panic and claustrophobia of not being able to move an inch knowing that you have no one to help you. My heart rate jumps thinking about it

The Japs used to tape a prisoner's eye open, then take a wall nut, cut it in half and tape one end over the eye.After placing a huge jungle spider inside between the eye and walnut half. They would then hold a flame against the outer side of the walnut. Forcing the spider to eat its way through the eye all the way into the brain. An hour minimal of pure hell before finally dying.

I read an article a while back about a lady they found between two walls in her house. They presumed that she fell while walking in the attic and got wedged between two walls upside down and it’s unknown how long it took her to die.

those ISIS guys beheading you ! No way man being held down as they slowly slice your head off with a knife.
Dont get the fear of drowning i guess in my mind its over in like a few seconds. Compared to suffocating or being burned alive its not even close.

Think of the absolute worst way to die out of all these options. Then think what is hell going to be like. Hell is going to be for all eternity and ten times worse than whatever way you think of dying. It is the second death.
