Yeah no doubt NOLA takes the cake. I guess the title should’ve eluded to second worst roads in the state.

when they first opened the new MSY airport but realized that they hadnt built a road to the airport yet, they used some sketchy arse back road routes from the interstate to cut over to the new airport. those roads were the worst roads i've ever been on outside of the middle east.

Hands down St. Martin Rd. Between Lafayette and St. Martinville.
1 trip down that disaster and I need new shocks, tires and a front end alignment. I literally hit a pot hole and almost got thrown in the roadside bayou.

Close second is Church Point Hwy south of Branch.

GTFO with that Lafayette area nonsense...doesn't even approach the sh$ttness of NOLA streets. Practically any side street in the city is like driving through an artillery range. And it's the dysfunction of the city. A while back local news showed some baw having a birthday party(complete with party favors) for the sinkhole in the street in front of his house - it was a year old then - probably still there now.

It’s New Orleans.

If you have insta, look up this account.

Oh and this is pretty typical of the streets throughout the New Orleans neighborhoods.

It’s like port au prince.

Imagine overpaying for a house and this is your street.

People in New Orleans would kill you to be able to drive on roads as nice as that.

New Orleans is first place. This thread should be about all other areas. It is no competition.

I’d imagine NBR roads are shite as well. Pothole after pothole of a wasteland.

Nowhere near as bad as NOLA streets.

As far as major highways outside of NOLA, Airline Hwy from I-10 to Gramercy is pretty bad. Especially considering how much traffic the road gets.

LA-3127 from Vacherie to I-310 is shitty as well.

But really, nothing can hold a candle to NOLA streets.

I-20 from Shreveport to the Texas state line. Both in road quality and congestion.
20 has grown some pretty good pot holes on east and west-bound between Gibsland and Choudrant which is absolutely ridiculous.

This road was built in 1962, rebuilt in late 80's, probably 1988. Practically untouched since then. The pavement has crumbled. People are driving on the shoulder in places. DOTD stays busy throwing asphalt in the bigger holes but it's a futile effort. It's due to be redone soon, and then it will probably be forgotten again.

Wanted to add, speed limit is 55, but traveling at 50 makes conversation difficult due to tire noise .

Regarding New Orleans, the main thoroughfares I use are not bad. Some of these potholes on smaller streets are unreal though. Unforgivable.

I was driving on Adams between Burthe and Hampton Streets and my mom was complaining. I said this isn’t anything compared to the rest of the city.

SWB has St. Charles in front of Vincent’s torn up for over 5 weeks now.
