What are some of the worst / hilarious edits of movie lines when modified for TV viewing?

I nominate the movie, Silence of the Lambs the edited line of
" I can smell your scent"

Totally ruins the entire scene, the feel of the scene, etc.

First those who missed the movie, here is the clip to which I am referring..

I know a lot of words but what on earth does "ferl" mean?

Did you mean furl?

I can't think of any individual lines off the top of my head, but I did think of this old MadTV sketch where they run The Sopranos on a family cable network.

I always had that ranked #1 because it was damn random but listened to a podcast that said Falcon was actually the call sign for the General’s plane earlier in the movie. So it kind of makes sense.

Still though, it’s such a bad edit

The skips in Casino that delete about half of Joe Pesci’s dialogue.

Repo Man’s TV version has a cult following for having replaced every mention of “motherfricker” with “melon farmer.”

I know this much. The best edited line is from Scarface:

"This town is like a great big pussy just waiting to get fricked."
to
"This town is like a great big chicken just waiting to get plucked."

Was coming here to post this one. This is THE worst of all time, and I legitimately believe it was purposely written that way to be ridiculous which makes it all the more funnier.

Oh I thought it was maybe some filmmaking industry term or something I wasn't familiar with. I kept trying to figure it out through context and etymology and was just hitting dead ends.

"The ferl of the scene".

Sounds like something about the flow of the lines within the scene congruent to the action.

The TV version of First Blood was almost unwatchable due to the absolutely terrible overdubs.

There are so many, but the one that sticks in my mind is near the end, when Rambo is talking to Trautman about his friend getting blown up at a bar in Saigon.

The actual line is, "...we were always talkin' about Vegas, and this frickin' car..."

The TV edit line is, "...we were always talkin' about Vegas, and this racin' car..." The choice of "racin'" to replace "frickin'" isn't terrible, but the audio was so badly done, it sounded like Stallone had recorded it from a payphone next to a busy street.
