Ahem…1971 here…core GenX.

Boomers are hanging on until 70 because they can’t retire or have no life other than work.

GenZ can’t communicate outside of email and don’t have any useful skills as most never worked. They’re eager but a project.

Broadly speaking of course.

Biden isn’t a Boomer, he’s is in the generation before Boomers.

The older guys generally have a better work ethic but the difference, as least my experience, is the smart phones. The younger guys generally leave their phones alone during the day. The older guys cannot get off Facebook for 5 minutes. It’s the exact opposite of what I would’ve thought.

So the older guys are faster and have better work ethic. So they have more time to play on Facebook. Got it.

What I’ve witnessed in my field is the older group does the work then they play on their phone. The younger group can careless and play on their phone while work piles up. And they do it on their own terms. When THEY are ready to do it.

.

My kids know that a boy is a boy and a girl is a girl. Crazy that more than half of the population can’t figure this out. Go drink your Bud Light, Susan.

no we just realize that by job hopping every year we get substantial raises, as opposed to get a small raise that barely matches inflation.

now this is for people who work career jobs. Boomers kind of screwed us all by killing a lot of full time jobs so they could hire two people part time and not pay insurance/401k.

Boomers had it better because they got better pensions/benefits and their work wasnt as fast paced

Being gen X sucks because when we were 22 we had to "learn" from the boomers. Now all the smartass know-it-all mils and z's are masters of everything, just ask them.

Lord. No internet, no zoom, no cell phones, paper for everything, far more physical labor involved in jobs other than specialized gigs for "coding", no corporate shrinks, no "teambuilding" at axe throwing outfits or coffee houses... many may be fast paced, many more are just fast paced days staring at TikTok.

Two of the most miserable and difficult colleagues I have are boomers. They are arrogant to their points of view and do not care about being team players as long as their opinions are deemed appropriate for the situation. They truly are old man (and woman) yelling at clouds. Our productivity will increase exponentially when they are kicked to the curb.

Gen Z expects to you to be working any random hour of the day from any random location in the world?

MY owner is a boomer and I would say he expects both, but doesn't say it outloud.
