Another similarly desolate road is Wyoming Hwy 30/89.

So awesome. One of my favorite drives ever. Once you get up to the divide, its like you are on top of the world. Does get a little dicey in areas, but that kind of stuff doesn't bother me.
The stretch that runs runs Canon City CO to the Great Sand Dunes is great. Bunch of big canyons, then along the Sangre De Cristos.
The drive on 191 from La Sal UT through Spanish Valley and into Moab is unreal. Like you've on another planet.
The Zion-Mt Carmel Highway(9) that exits south out of Zion is badass.
89 from basically north of Kanab UT to Cameron AZ is an amazing drive as well.
The drive into Olympic National Park on Hurricane Ridge Road is breathtaking.
90 from about Snolquamie to Quincy is sick. Big mountains into prairie desert into big gorge canyons.

Some great spots. I make this drive in sections once a year. I don't usually go all the way to Seattle but it's definitely an awesome drive for an Interstate. Badlands and Custer State Park are great. Even the drive from MN to there has some pretty spots.
From Livingston to Spokane is nonstop scenery. Then picks up again in Snoqualmie

Sorry, but the 17 mile drive at Pebble Beach, CA is by far the scenic road in the country.

I may get some flack for this suggestion.
LA 1 between Grand Isle and Golden Meadow and outside of the industrialized sections like around Leeville and the elevated section. It also depends on the time of the year.
It is just something about the marsh view.
Of course, I just realized Entergy screwed up the section between Golden Meadow and Leeville with their poles that they moved closer to the highway for easier access and hardening. Because before they had wood poles in the middle of the marsh that they could only access via boat or marsh buggy.

It's a short stretch, maybe a half mile, but coming out of the tunnel on the windward stretch of H3 is pretty awesome.
