There’s more to it but I’ll wait till it’s released… Great dude family man. Just sucks. Could happen anytime. I work in plants and when I heard stopped and made everyone refocus on the dangers we take for granted every day.

20 feet is 3 stories high.

That’s plenty of height to be fatal.

First, that is horrible, especially for someone so young, and condolences to the family.

WAY too soon, but it is tOT so: Did anyone hear him yelling "Take me away" as he fell?

Fall protection. He must have been moving and not hooked, a point failed. Damn that is terrible. I worked Fire Rescue and a fall recovery is brutal. He was beat up bad

No it’s not. Also, 20 feet is the best possible description. “Stories” is a much less understood unit than feet.

Fall protection.

Climbing a scaffold ladder wearing fall protection is more dangerous than working on a scaffold without fall protection.

10 feet used to be the fatality potential height to plan jobs around. I understand that many large petrochemicals use 4 feet now. A credibility problem exist when you are required to tie off with a 6 foot harness on a 4 foot scaffold.

You're supposed to tie overhead.

Besides, the fall isn't what killed him.

If he had been my mama's cat, everything would be fine. However, we humans are fragile beings.

Sorry for him and his family.

The attorney sent a letter to the local news.

Basically, the coroner is an employee of Calgon and he falsified his report to try to protect Calgon.

He even threatened the wife and father within minutes of death notification.

Almost all facilities now require the use of SRL lanyards instead of old style 6 foot lanyards.

If anchored correctly they won't allow a fall of anywhere near 6 feet.

I hope the family members have some electronic documentation of this if it happened, podunk local jurisdictions will close ranks in these types of situations.

Hearsay has some value but not as good as recordings/video.

I found it on Facebook. The attorney sent the letter to WLOX. Justin Matthew Davis was the victim.
