Work Zoom Meetings from home

Lots of folks working from home and using Zoom.
Any good work related Zoom Stories such as forgetting to mute or forgetting to turn off your video, etc?
Does your employer have rules in place for using Zoom from your home?
Such as:
Can you smoke if you are home on a Zoom meeting?
Is it frowned upon to have certain decorations/items in your home that may "trigger" others?

Like many, I'm fairly certain if you wouldn't do it in an actual meeting, you wouldn't do it in a zoom meeting (attire slightly excluded depending on nature of meeting).
There's lots of zoom bombing stories and people not creating fake backgrounds where nude people walk by and shite like that.

Two weeks into the Covid mess when we started working from home we were told to not use Zoom. I’m not sure anyone was using it anyway

I was on a call about 2 weeks ago and about 5 of 20 people had video on. One older guy proceeds to pick his nose like crazy. I tell my wife, who is in the room, “mfer in this meeting is picking his nose like there’s money up there.” I’m not sure how many people saw him digging, but I was not on mute.

fricking gross.

I've attended several meetings on Zoom without pants. I normally keep my mic muted and just use the space bar to unmute when I want to talk. That avoids any embarrassing sounds.

Elton approves of this thread.
And it looks like he’s singing “Rocket Man”.

I had my meeting started and was doing some other work while waiting for my supervisor to join. Window wasn't up and I was waiting for the ding of him entering to switch over. Except my headphones were plugged in so i didn't hear him join...ripped a big fart that I'm certain he heard as he was trying to get my attention.

Always assume you will need to turn on your video at some point, make sure you are muted when the meeting starts and learn to use the virtual background.

I keep a piece of masking tape over my camera so I don't accidentally give my coworkers a free view of what people who pay for my webcam get.

Joints and vaping are fine. The bong is a no-go, due to the bubbling noise. Unless you're muted. It's not an official rule, but a common sense/self evidence practice. Normally, one person speaks at a time, so the mute toggling is a natural part of the process.
Don't run video, then there's nothing to censor.

My company has 25k employees. Neither of these issues ever came up, that I am aware of

Webcam calls are proven to cause stress and mental fatigue. They aren't natural and you have to subconsciously work harder to read people's faces, etc.
They should be used only when absolutely needed.

My kid came and stuck one of his Lego's in my face when I was on a meeting yesterday. Cracked everyone up.

Been zooming for months now. Really don’t understand the need to have my camera on. I keep a piece of tape over it.

My 6 month old seems to know when I’m on zoom meetings and goes ballistic during those.

Use Teams for our work, everyone just turns off the camera mode now. At first though, there were a few people that had it going, mostly kids coming in interrupting or people working from their garage area showing off a gun collection in the background.

I had one Tuesday and I had to tell one of my employees to put a shirt on, he didn’t know his camera was on. An employee that works for another manager that was on the same call will probably be losing his job soon because he didn’t know his camera was on and he was driving a company vehicle at the time.
