I don’t watch much anymore. Has women’s wrestling gotten that big or does the rest of the card suck that much?

I don't follow that stuff, but I never understood why women's wrestling was not as big or bigger than the men's. Why would you want to watch scantilly clad, oiled up men fake wrestle as opposed to hot chicks with huge bolt ons?

"Not that there's anything wrong with that"

Eventually happens. Just like everything else that women get overly involved in.

The best thing for new sports innovation is push for diversity.

WWE has entered an era in which there is a ton of talent from the women's division. The roster is very deep and these ladies can work. There are a number of times where the ladies have put on the best match on a card

becky lynch is maybe the most over performer in the company right now. and rousey is a big name. this isn't a shock.

The top of the women’s roster is pretty decent, but overall they botch a ton of spots in the women’s division.

AJ vs Orton should be a great match.

No she's not. Kofi is getting bigger pops while on the same show.

Depending on where Kofi falls on the card, I'll only have to watch 4 hours instead of 7 that day.

I don't care for it. I lose my hard on before I get a chance to do something about it.

Women's wrestling has significantly improved and they often have more exciting matches than a lot of the guys. Becky Lynch is the most over person in the company and her story arc has been the most interesting part of the show for the better part of the year. Deserves to main event.

While their matches aren't quite as good as the best Male performers, they are substantially better than 20 years ago. Ronda is a huge name. Becky is over as hell. Flair is very good.

Now they still seem to botch a lot sadly. Especially Nia. You'll see delayed moves or falls randomly more often than men's matches still.

But they deserve this one. It's a good storyline. Has the fan support behind it.

Plus there really isn't a great main event match this year right now. So it should happen this year.

Rollins vs Brock has to little a build.

Kofi vs Daniel isn't a huge ticket seller but pure wrestling fans will love it. Kofi is over but not a huge enough name to flock huge fans in.

Finn vs Taker will be fun but not main event type

Angle vs Cena wont be good enough Angle is far to broken now.

Shane and Miz is a good story but not a main event match

Joe vs Rey will be awesome..but eh

Orton vs AJ if it had a title on the line could easily main event...but it doesn't so it shouldnt. .

I assumed a few matches there as well. So some may not even happen

So really no other match that will hype people more than this one. It is and should be the main event this year.

Wrestlemania is about grabbing headlines, and creating “moments” that get the attention of people who don’t watch. Not to say it isn’t a good show, but it’s not the super bowl for the diehard wrestling fan anymore. It’s more like the all-star game.

Ronda Rousey is the most mainstream name in WWE competing at Mania this year.

Becky Lynch is the most popular wrestler in the company.

Even if you threw out the obvious "doing it because it's a first for women", it's still the match to close the show.

Also,

Your other options in order are:

Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston - 11 year vet trying to close out a dream run, but no name power really

Seth Rollins vs Brock Lesnar - a mildly warm babyface vs someone almost every fan is sick and tired of

Batista vs HHH - HHH would never let this close over the full timers at this stage in his career. This could also be bad.

I'd expect HHH/Batista to go 3rd to last, Lesnar/Rollins to go 2nd to last, and Kofi/Bryan to be towards the beginning/middle to let people cool down after a likely great match.

We’re at a point where women have now grown up and gone through training programs to become highly-skilled wrestlers (as opposed to the hair-pulling shite-shows of yesteryear). And since half of wrestling is psychology...have you ever met women? They throw serious heat at each other.

I watch all the WWE ppv’s I never look away when the women are wrestling anymore. I’m as interested in their storylines as I am in the men’s.

I don't think the rest of the card sucks, but the hottest feud angles in WWE since Summerslam last August have been the feuds involving Becky Lynch. She is the most organically over wrestler since Daniel Bryan. Ever since she got the loudest reaction when climbing the ladder at Money in the Bank she has been pushed.

This has nothing to do with being PC and everything to do with the fact that Becky Lynch is as on fire as a wrestler can be right now. She kills it on the mic, in the ring, and her trash talk on social media is hilarious.

Ronda Rousey/Angle versus the authority last year was the best match at WrestleMania imo

women's division is very good right now and Becky Lynch the last 9 months or so has been white hot

completely agree

as far as wrestlers on the mic and social media the last couple years it's basically Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens and Becky Lynch imo

She's a hilarious shite talker

Its a main event, that doesn't mean its closing the show. There's gonna be 4 or 5 main events just like every year.
