I’d assume she’s being quite honest that she does in fact want to plan it. But you should put your foot down and refuse though. You will look tremendously weak to everyone observing, and probably will to her as well in her subconscious.

I can’t condone this engagement or marriage. We can’t afford to have another pair of mentally challenged people have retard offspring.

Took two seconds to find a thread you made since you post so much nonsense here.

How did you ask your s/o dad

Got rejected by the dad once already?

Does she want some big thing so she can post it all over social media? I know it’s a big deal to women, but man that stuff is cringey

Setting up all that shite just to put it on social media is lame. It takes away from any surprise, candidness, or all around “real ness.”

Idk why, but all that crap just feels fake to me.

Yea yea yea, get off my lawn, I know.

People need so much attention these days, thus, every little thing now has to be an "event."

Engagements, "gender reveals" etc.

No
It’s for both of you & the best part imo is the unexpected surprise

Not every moment of your life has to be planned for social media

Recent divorcée let’s new girlfriend plan his engagement to her.

That’s a recipe for long term happiness if I’ve ever seen one.

If she is wanting to plan it, don’t do it.

It’s supposed to be special, not something designed for Instagram

Be cautious. The girls I knew who cared about the proposal more than the engagement or the wedding more than the marriage were almost all too immature to get married. Some lasted, but most had significant issues.
