If I'm not on the insurance, I'm not driving.

Unless they completely suck as a driver.

electronic steering is so different t

There's electronic steering? The electric part just acts in place of the power steering assist and there is still mechanical linkage? Or it's full blown electronic? Never heard of it and would absolutely never drive a car that doesn't have a mechanical linkage (steering column). Screw that.

I drive 90% of the time but the 10% of the time I don’t feel like driving, she’ll drive. She’s a good driver so it’s no big deal whatsoever

Man, y'all worry about some weird shite.

I love it when my fiancee drives. She's a good driver, and I get to bring a sippy cup full of Jameson.

Now, she can't park worth a shite, but I'll let that go.

I hate driving, if wife is in the car she usually drives local, long trips we take turns. Whole lot of insecurity on the OT.

just to avoid an argument, because she is a fricking terrible "backseat driver", i tend to let her drive...

and when she complains that she always drives, i remind her that if she'd shut the frick up when i drive, she wouldn't have to drive as often...

The car overrides the input, or more accurately fights against you. You haven’t driven one of these? They a lane keeping, but the force is proportional to the angle you’re trying to leave the lane...and in a top heavy SUV, it’s wild. Also, it’ll steer away, and brake when there’s a person turning in a left leaving turn lane.

There is no way there’s mechanical linkage.

My car has the most buttery hydraulic steering you can imagine, going to that video game is just strange. There are three settings for steering, but they all feel terrible. This is a nice vehicle too. My wife doesn’t notice.
