First off, 36, not a grandma, never married, so no bitter divorce to speak of.
Secondly, what planet are you people from that 2 weeks is pushing the limits of your attention span? These people have jobs right? How the frick much can you see someone in two weeks that it would ever be considered “dating” anyway?
Thirdly, if women And men were clear about their intentions from the get go then this wouldn’t be an issue. The dude has said here that he’s looking for the smash and dash, and doesn’t want anything more than a booty buddy from her, and yet you somehow find fault with her for wanting to wait? Does intuition count for nothing?
If she’s fooled around with him but says she likes him and she’s not ready to sleep with him that’s pretty much 23 year old code for, “I’ve messed this up before, what do you want out of this?” His 28 year old response should have been, “I understand where you’re coming from, but I’m not looking to be serious with anyone” and then he should move the hell on to someone who just wants to sleep with him no strings attached.
If someone wants more than you are willing to give them, don’t put your dick in them.
That’s just basic decency, it doesn’t take wisdom.

It took Scruffy's GF a good bit longer than 2 weeks to even refer to him as her BF.
Scruffy was just "that guy I'm dating".
