Looks like the prevailing winds according to windy.com are offshore. The winds blew her offshore.

Luckily the predominate wind pattern on the Gulf Coast is onshore during the warm months or we would see a lot of people get blown out to sea in the Gulf on a regular basis.

Seriously. I’d think Japanese waters would have a lot of sharks. Maybe they killed them all

You’re thinking of the fricking dolphins.

They're all too busy hunting on the beaches and overlooked her being so far out to sea.

I'm sure this thought would really comfort me if I was floating 50 miles out to sea.

You probably wouldn’t get her in a water bed.

She was moving at a pretty good pitch in that ring.

In 37 hours, she moved 50 miles offshore. Thats 1.35 miles per hour…..essentially drifting.

Nice work on the rescue that’s for sure

So now she can post that 37 hours is the longest she has gone without eating...

Really? Mine would not have suffered a bit.

lets put you in the ocean 50 miles from nowhere in a plastic floaty for 2 days and assuming you're going to eventually die out there and see how amazing you are when/if you are rescued.

Wonder if the fish went all Joe's Uncle and ate her feet.

37 hrs. treading? I'm guessing she had higher side BMI.

Sometimes being fat is a blessing.
