No. They were allowed in because it was a public hearing.
None of them tried to break through a barricaded door.
Over 300 of them were arrested though.

The police looked incredibly unprepared for this. I'm looking forward to that investigation.

She was crazy. We need some reciprocity here folks, anytime a person of color is killed we pull up tweets and photos to remove that “angel” persona that the media puts on but now that the media is reporting it straight up and down, they’re making her out to be something she’s not? C’mon people.

Is that the same person? The picture I saw was of a reddish haired girl not a brunette. I also thought it happened behind the window that is behind the speakers chair.

They told her along with everyone else to back down and leave. She decided to climb up and thru the window. Her being a VET that worked SECURITY if im not mistaken should've known better. And now she's a victim of her own demise. She even flew from Cali to Washington just to riot and do dumb things.

What a shitty take.

She broke into the capital while congress was in session... I’m surprised more weren’t killed and would have been fine with it. What would you expect to happen if you appear to be threatening the lives of some of the highest people in our government?

Yeah and again...this goes both ways
if you tried to bring this type of nuance to the discussion around the riots over the summer here, you would have been shouted down and called an ANTIFA supporter
So what kind of nuance did you bring to these types of discussions?

This may have actually lead to her ill-fated choice. They had basically been allowed in and to walk around with seemingly little attempt to get them out. While the officer and possibly other LEOs on the other side of the barricaded door may have seen it as "the line" she apparently saw it as just another hallway to walk down. I think it is clear there would be a doorway or point where the interlopers would have been stopped by any means possible, they were not going to let them walk up and say hi to Pence, etc.
The officer by himself or via orders had decided that door was the line that changed the ROE. I think it is clear she didn't not recognize that. In my mind, she made a poor decision but if the line hadn't been there it seems likely the group would have continued closer and closer to the inner sanctum until the either recognized the line or someone made the same mistake. Right or wrong if I am the one guy at that roadblock with the weight of protecting the VP and the entire legislative branch behind me I may have made the same choice. It is a horrible outcome but it may have prevented an even larger scale tragedy.

I just can't believe how unprepared DC and Capital police were. This was a public protest that was planned for over a month now, surely they knew about it. Or did they never figure that Republican protestors would ever get violent.
In any case, I hate she was killed, but I can't say it was a bad shoot. She was actively trying to break through a barricaded door. She was trying to jump through the window when she already had guns pointed at them. For anyone who has ever been on Capitol Hill, there is security for every entrance for every building there. This was a collosal breach of security here. The VP, Speaker, and many other top government officials were in that building. If any of those government officials were behind that barricade, it's even less of a surprise that deadly force was used.

These are my thoughts. I think some people think they would be able to just run up on Pence or Nancy to express their frustrations, yell about the election, etc. But there was absolute zero chance of that ever happening without security intervening. Zero.

Yeah, you can't say that someone like Jacob Blake had it coming, and then say that Babbitt didn't. That is hypocrisy.
One stupid, but unsurprising narrative that I've seen is the idea that if it would've been people of color going into the capitol that things would've gone differently, as if a white woman didn't get shot in the fricking neck and killed.

So she was climbing through a broken window . . . but there are no allegations that she was brandishing anything that even resembled a weapon, correct?
