The idea is good, but the dress, couch, record player.... EYES ehhh

She seems a bit cray cray.

I know a guy who’s wife is the primary bread-winner while he is the stay at home dad. Honestly, seems like a good deal. To all y’all independent, career-minded women: I’m totally fine with not having a full time job and spending “all day” cooking and cleaning.

I love to cook. I hate cleaning but I hate working my job more than I hate cleaning

I don’t have a problem with that lifestyle but

Is a little bit too much

My wife used to text me articles about how hard it was being a working mom. I’m tempted to send this to her.

Lucky guy. I’ll bet he never walks in from work without a bj and dinner cooked.

We do need to go back to having family units that actually spend time together.

I like my job most of the time but I'd gladly keep this house clean and cook over going everyday.

Pretty sure I could get some Adderall and knock this shite out in an hour or two a day and go golfing or fishing most of the time. I'd be fine with my wife walking in and smacking me on the arse and asking me what was for dinner too

But cleaning and a home cooked meal takes no time at all. I'd get bored as hell after about two hours.
I could think of plenty of things to keep you busy for more than two hours. If you're going to stay home all day I'm going to expect a bit more than a little vacuuming, a load of laundry, and a chicken pot pie.

I'm not about some 50's housewife shite because I'm doing DINK stuff right now (#DINKLife). But if you have kids it's definitely better for one parent to be home during the children's formative years.

That said, I'm not down with lazy wives who sit around all day once the kids are in high school.

Don't see a problem. My wife of almost 40 years was a stay home Mom. I worked shift work for 30+ years and only one time took a sandwich to work. Always had a hot plate. Yes, we gave up some, but when kids came, they were first as young ones. Once they could take care of their self's, she went back to school to make big money and yet still took care of the family.

Oh, I'm retired and she retired at 58. All is good.

Careful baws, they’ll reel you in with this shite, then flip the script when you act like a 50’s husband and stay out drinking at the bar.

Wrong! In this house, I wear the pants. Guess you never got with a good coonass woman.

My wife stayed at home until all the kids were in school. I loved it and wouldn't have minded if she stayed a housewife but she wanted to go back to work which is understandable.

And, yeah, people were always jealous of my lunches.

Meh. Not my thing but good for her if it makes her and her husband happy. I bet she is boring to talk to.

I’d let Katrina come onshore in South laFüt Parish.

Empty balls & a full belly were 50’s wives’ keys to marital success.
