Nobody knows this. Chances are she was not. They just wrote that to have a little upside in a terrible incident.

Another breed capable of seriously harming humans. We recently had a baby mauled to death by one in PHX. Grandmother was watching the baby. Her rottweiler(that was normally kept chained outside at all times)...broke free and got inside...and went straight for the baby and basically ate the baby's face off. Police had to shoot the dog to get it to finally let go of the baby.
may I ask what the race of all these grandmothers who's grandchildren keep getting attacked by their vicious arse pets?

I have seen labs raised as pin dogs for hogs and they do a great job

I mean sure, but there's a reason why almost everyone uses pit's for that.

I really don't care what Pit's history was 100 years ago, as that's like 30 generation of dogs if not 50 ago. Furthermore there were plenty of uses of dogs long ago that have now changed, so I'm really not sure how much their "history" in 1900 has to do with 2017.

There are reasons why Pits are the far and away the favored dog for fighting, for the ghettos, etc. There's a reason they don't all own retrievers, or poodles, or any other dogs.

Rescuing a Pit is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. I have a cousin that rescues them and she has a 10 year old daughter. They routinely have issues, and I can guarantee the issues I've heard about are no more than 1/2 the issues she actually has.

As I said, sure some dogs are trained but dogs also have amazing instincts. After multiple generations, you can't tell me many of these Pits don't have fighting instincts.

I've seen two ugly dog bites in the ER in the last 6 months and neither were from pits. One was a boxer and the other was a dalmation. Buddy has a female pitbull and that dog is the sweetest. The toy poodle in the house scares the shite out of her at times.

Presa Canario sounds like the breed for you. Google "Diane Whipple Presa Canario" if you want to know what these frickers can do.

A dickhead neighbor has two mixed pits in the backyard in a fenced area. They are medium sized dogs. When one gets out and is alone, it will trot up to me and beg to be petted. When both get out together, they will charge and bark aggressively and want to challenge me. I stomp my feet and jump at them and they retreat.

In summary: solo they are friendly. As a duo, they are aggressive.

If true, I’m glad they ended her life.
If not true, sad story.

The breed literally has no use in this world.

That's why I didn't get outraged over the whole Michael Vick deal. Those are shithead dogs.
