Some of those folks are crazy. I mean, he hit it offline 20 yards to get where he is. “Great idea, lets stand 4 feet to his right as he tries to hit a high draw off this dirt over the tree”.

Meh, to each his own. I love going to a PGA event. They have turned them into a party atmosphere and most courses. I get suite tickets and drink and eat while watching hot women in sun dresses. There are concerts after the round at the NOLA event.
Some people love watching nascar or soccer. I hate both of them.

In the US this very issue has been long litigated. It was determined that getting hit by a ball was a known risk when you are on the course. Meanwhile, a guy was practice swinging off of the tee box and hit a guy with his backswing. He was held liable because it was determined that wasn’t a known risk. That case stuck in my head from first year law school but I can’t remember the other details.

A few years back, some guy's testicle exploded after catching a golf ball around City Park. I think he sued and lost.

It cracks me up when people go to sporting events like baseball, tennis, or golf with a ball that moves at an excessively fast speed and not look when the ball is hit.

I find it incredibly boring to watch because they pretty much always put the ball where they want to. I'd get a lot more entertainment watching someone like me who might hit the ball on the next fairway and then watch them meltdown about it
