We admittedly don't know much about Haines or her jobs,

I call BS....what was she "delivering" that would fit in an Elantra that would justify driving 500+ miles a day every day for 5 years straight? Maybe an over the road driver could do this....but unless she was running drugs the economics just do not make sense.

A man in my area hit a million miles on his Harley. His bike is much older than five years though. Harley was going to give him a new bike when he hit that milestone. He would ride the motorcycle even when it was freezing cold outside in shorts

I drive + - 100,000 miles a year and it’s not easy. I can’t imagine twice as much

So let's just do some simple math:

200k miles per year. 548 miles per day assuming she never took a single day off. 18 hours per day assuming 30 MPH avg speed. Anyone else find something fishy with this story?

First off, you're obviously not an engineer, because 30 mph is not a good assumption. And in the text you quoted, she's clearly doing mostly highway and interstate. Her avergae speed is probably double at 60mph if not more. So that cuts it down to 9 hrs a day. Not that fishy at all.

Sounds like a shitty job though. Most I did in one year was about 135k miles...and that was probably at an average of 30 mph, maybe a little higher..was basically driving all day with frequent stops.

I don't doubt that the car has that many miles on it. I doubt that she personally drove most of them.

Probably didn't happen, but for Hyundai it was plausible enough to use her to get some publicity and sell some cars.

Why not become a truck driver if she likes driving so much.

She’s a hot shot driver. She probably makes a lot more than most OTR drivers. They deliver parts when the deadlines are super short, for plants and companies, etc. it’s good money but a lot of wear and tear on your vehicles and your body.

She delivers auto parts. Depending on the type of parts and the range of delivery locations, this isn't that far fetched.

My daughter did this for a time but it was for a company that provided parts for one of the eighteen wheeler truck brands. She drove a company truck and easily put that kind of mileage in a week.

If this girl was delivering in a more rural area to various mechanics in small towns, etc. this is very believable. Though I would wonder why they didn't have company trucks.

This story reminds me of a Married With Children episode. Of course it didn’t quite work out for Al.

Well if she drove over 120 mph, she would have saved on gas money

I wonder how many accidents my wife would have in a million miles.
