Most people who do this drive sprinter vans and get more mileage than the average truck driver. They’re not regulated the same way and the freight they’re carrying is generally quite critical. Paying 5k to move a few parts from the border to Michigan is a lot cheaper than shutting a production line down or paying to charter a plane. I bet she made a shite load of money in those 5 years.

What if her employer pays her hourly and a .50 a mile allowance for using her personal vehicle. Elantra 28/38 mpg.
