With time will animals evolve to be more ‘cute’ to escape the wrath of humans?

Humans are more likely to want to protect cute animals than ‘ugly’ ones in my experience.
Consider the praying mantis and hummingbird. A mantis will kill and eat a hummingbird. And if a human sees this happening he will kill the mantis to protect the birds. But it is just nature being nature.
Same sort of thing with the youtube videos of people scraping barnacles off of sea turtles.
So given enough time, will all animals need to be ‘cute’ to thrive?

Dogs already have.
retractor anguli oculi lateralis, "puppy dogs eyes" are not found in wolves or husky breed

a dog's eyes have evolved to mimic a human-like expression, particularly the inner eyebrow raise, which makes their eyes appear larger, more infant-like, and can elicit a nurturing response from humans

Cats too - round foreheads, large eyes, snub faces.

If you don't think a calf, kid, or lamb is cute, then you are broken. They taste good enough we seem to overlook it, but most people aren't interacting with their food today.

There's a theory that domesticated cats evolved the meow and other "cute noises" to imitate human babies because humans instinctively respond to those tonal pitches with nurturing affection.
Cats in the wild or cats that interact with other cats don't make cute sounds. That make grunts, growls and guttural noises.
