and the latest NAM snowfall prediction (once again take this with a grain of salt as it has been known in the past to include sleet and freezing rain in its total)

I really think LSU will let us know when EBR and state offices close, which I assume will be some time this afternoon.

ETA: Especially because it looks like the precipitation forecast is getting earlier and heavier

From another forum:
"12z NAM shows .50"-75" of QPF for Lafayette. Looks like about 3-4" of snow with a large are of 6"+ in between Lafayette, Baton Rouge and New Orleans."

Oh, and the 06GFS shows another major storm Feb 5-6. Its a ways out to predict accurately, but just saying.
