I need Fritos and chipotle powder for my chili but Jackson is an absolute madhouse right now. The city is a massive traffic jam.

I'm on Coursey near Airline. I wouldn't call it steady.
If this were the NFL, what's falling right now would be the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Nothing in Gonzales yet but a little rain.. Looked at my weather app and the blue turns to green when it hits where we are.. Then looks like the blue disappears all together..

Honestly, looking at the radar, it's not terrible here in LC. If this is all we're going to get here, then last week was worse. Freezing rain here but it's not hard at all and the accumulation has been minimal

It is cold as shite though.

LAFAYETTE: US 90 between Rayne and Crowley is closed due to ice on the roadway.

More like the Texans. Nobody every expects the Jaguars to do anything. The Texans are always a let down.

This is BS, power is out and it just now got to 32 degrees with little or no rain in Gonzales. Kept power the whole time last week.

About 50 sleet pellets on trampoline.

I think this has more to do with uncertainty with weather than anything. Checking the weather yesterday morning, there wasn't a chance for snow in Jackson. Now we have 2-3 inches here with even more in southern cities like Brookhaven, when the whole time all the snow was projected to be in Hammond/I-10 corridor.
Yep, it wasn't until yesterday that the models started really pickup up on the fact that there was some better energy dumping into the storm from the N. The main focus was the energy that was back over Mexico. The models kept flipping around on how they handled that energy. When they kicked it out or bled more energy off of it the totals would go up for S. La.
They are still bleeding energy off of it but the orientation of the trough is such that that those pieces of energy look to impact New Orleans and points E & SE more than BTR.

power came back on here about 10 min after it went off.
