Winner of the $1.5 billion powerball still hasn't come forward

They have until April 21st. What would be the reasoning for not coming forward yet?
And if it goes unclaimed:
And before taxes they have lost out on about $12.5 million in interest
And if it goes unclaimed:

If the prize goes unclaimed by the deadline, according to the Mega Millions website, "each participating state in the Mega Millions game will get back all the money that state contributed to the unclaimed jackpot.

I won’t tell you my reasons, but I have them ok

I haven’t come forward because that small amount of money isn’t worth my time

Ticket was destroyed somehow IMO.
Either they left it in their pants and washed it or it got mixed up with other trash and thrown in the garbage.
Incredible though. So many people that could have won and it just happens to be someone who cant even hold on to the ticket long enough to redeem the prize.
Or they could turn it in at the last possible moment. I just dont see the logic in waiting this long anymore. They dont even have to expose themselves and can claim the prize anonymously.

Like I said before, the dude probably died of a heart attack and nobody knows he won.

Bought ticket and forgot about it.
Or, just waiting until the last day after getting all of one’s plans together for a great reveal!

It's already been wayyyy too much time for that. They've had plenty of time to get their affairs in order.

One of two things happened:
1) A baw that buys these things religiously had one of those weeks where he just lost the tickets for whatever reason and said frick it. Didnt have them for the drawing and quite frankly didnt care because he never wins anyway.
2) Some Randolph and Mortimer duke type bought the tickets and is making that shite airtight so nobody blows him up about it.
No way, and I mean no way is it some waitress or down on their luck type. No one who has nothing would wait this long under the auspices of "setting it up properly" to cash in something like this.

Right. The longer they wait the more attention it'll get, but does that really matter when you can claim the prize anonymously?

I totally understand getting everything in order financially and legally before coming forward for that sum of money... but I also would be claiming it as soon as everything was ready.
And that should have happened already.

Lost ticket?
I might kill myself. Honestly, I don't know if I could live with that.
Lost a piece of paper that would've created generational wealth for my great, great, great grand kids. The kind of wealth that gets your name on buildings for the rest of history. Never work a day in my life again. Let my parents retire. Pay for college and the best schools for all my children, neices/nephews, grandkids, etc.
I would have to be seriously medicated at the very least to cope with that.

idk, id wait until the very last second before claiming all that money just to make sure i have gone over everything and that i have everything in place

The good thing is (I guess) if you just played random numbers, you'd probably never know.

Would be crazy if someone threw it away, thinking it was a loser.

The kid in Florida who won the big $200 million took about a week before he claimed his prize. Said he met with advisors and such to educate him on what he needs to do.
There's something fishy about this. Maybe it was bought by some Russian mafia type operation and they have no idea how to cash in the ticket without raising suspicions.

But, at this point they are sort of creating a different frenzy. If that’s the thought process, it doesn’t seem well thought out.
