Professors only work about 3 hours/week so...

I gave a guy less than 20% last night. After food he never came back again. After we finished, prebussed our own plates and had them cleared, we waited another 15 minutes to where I went to another waiter to ask for my check. First time I ever thought about just leaving.
Never got asked if I wanted a second round of drinks(we did) never got asked if we wanted dessert(we did). On $68 I left $80. I wanted to leave 15% but didn't want to wait for change.

Food was good though

I am finding that a bit hard to believe. The person would have to average $400+ in tips every day, 5 days a week. That would be after tip outs and "taxes" that I'm sure they would voluntarily pay. I was a busser in college at Sullivans, which at the time was one of the better BR restaurants. Bartenders actually made more money than the waiters. A good night a waiter could clear a few hundred, but it wasn't every night..

So instead of tipping the bill you participated in #skipdabill challenge... nice

All these wait staff people bitching about money must be shitty at their job. I know a guy that made more money his last year of bartending in college than he did his first year at his grown up job after he graduated.
