I found the former server. You’re job wasn’t that important kid

Speaking of jobs...your english teacher didn't take theirs serious enough.

Never been a server in my life but I am not naive either. Keep enjoying your shitty meals and service at Texas Roadhouse. I am sure it's a special treat for you and the Mrs when you get a little bonus.

Nope. I'm a generous tipper and all, but that shite's for the birds. Just some scam some waiter thought up to get unreasonable tips.

Not at a lot of places, but it is at some very high end restaurants. At a restaurant like Commander's Palace or the Brennan's restaurants wait staff can make a pretty legit salary. I imagine at some higher cost of living cities those types of restaurants' wait staff can get into 6 figures pretty well. That's a pretty exceptional example though. I wouldn't necessarily characterize it as "lots of places."

I had a professor at LSU who moonlighted as wait staff at Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse. He claimed to make more money at that than he did with his phd. Probably more of a statements about university professors' salaries though.

Really? You don't think there are places where the servers can make 6 figures? You'd be surprised I guess.

I'm not even talking about "one of" places as there are some that make that at a few chains even. Some servers at places like The Capitol Grille or Fleming's make that.

And that's not even mentioning what Bartenders and servers in a city like Vegas make. Some do very well.

Nope. I tip what feel is appropriate to the service rendered.

Sometimes it’s a little, sometimes it’s a lot. Best not let my glass get empty if a lot will be in play

Maybe I should retract that but it's a bit more common than people realize and to classify a server job as only being for college kids like the first person I responded to is having your head in the sand. Even the ones not making 6 figures can still make a good living and more than provide for a whole family.

It's crazy to me how this board (with the board majority being conservative) can shite on people that actually work and provide and be completely ignorant about it.

Lol frick no. The food might be worth $50, but unless the server gives me a blowjob, the server didn’t do $50 worth of work.

This right here is why I avoid all that Facetwitting Instacrap.

I enjoy witnessing random acts of over-the-top kindness, but I feel it is usually rude to publicize afterwards.

Tipping 100 percent at a bar is usually a good investment. Especially if you do it early with cash.
