Yeah a lot of us got new roofs with the help of our insurance after the Hurricanes. Dont jinx it! The next roof will cost a lot more now because the deductibles are as they say thru the roof. I'm good on Hurricanes not happening for the next 20 years.

My wife says I should take credit for the calm year so far since i went ahead and installed a whole home generator after last summer. She says now that I have one we will go ten years without needing it. lol. I'll take that....

Which would justify the expense

Stop starting these threads, isn't this the second one you've started?

Peak season doesn't begin until August 20th. We don't start seeing a ramp up until around August 15th. Gtfo with this.

Used OT earned during Ida to buy a whole home generator, so we should okay in SELA. OTOH, I was volunteered to assist storm recovery work across the entire southeast in 2023, and that usually means a few weeks luggage life somewhere. So, it's basically tied on my front. The only thing that could tilt it would be if some a-hole came on here and started spouting off about "a quiet year." With the possible exception of Peej saying a storm is headed out to sea, there's not much worse in terms of a jinx. Thanks, a-hole.

Everyone, meet deltaland. He's the guy on the 18th tee who says "hey man, you haven't a double bogey all day" then proceeds to accidentally throw away your last beer in the cart ice chest because he thought it was empty and refuses to buy you a roadie from the clubhouse because he is "out of cash"

Does that mean you are polygenerational or agenerational. I must know so I can label you. It is vital that you be labeled. You must confirm to a label. R or D. White or black. Pink or purple. Tell me dammit so I can put a label on you! You must identify and comply!

Tell me you're a UTEP fan without telling me you're a UTEP fan.

n my rudimentary understanding, a lack of tropical activity would limit the reduction of energy/heat in the Gulf and Atlantic. Keeping the areas ripe for strong systems

Possibly, but the wet summer on the gulf coast also reduces the potential energy by spreading it out.

Ivan Dennis and Katrina came after very low rain activity on the gulf.
