And I assume they are probably looking at building a 4 lane spur off 49 straight to the facility.
What's going on with 49 thru Lafayette anyway? It's been real quiet for the last 5-7 years.

I don't know about 49, but I suspect you will see a massive infrastructure project over the next decade down there

This would be a mother fricker to see the state suddenly find road funding

Well they are gonna like magic
I'm sure massive infrastructure improvements were part of the deal to come here

Gonna have to expropriate a whole lotta ghetto between I-10 and the airport, and the effect on traffic in that area during construction would be a living Hell, even by Lafayette standards.

Cow Island fixing to explode into the next Orlando.

Possibly. Certainly completion of the stretch from Broussard through Boutte.

The permanent jobs at the facility plus all the supporting...where will those people live? Schools? Hospitals?
A lot of infrastructure both public and private is needed between now and 2029. It's amazing for the area and state in general, but the Youngsville/Broussard boom will be childsplay compared to this one. Same growth, but over 2 years, not 2 decades.

i'm thinking no one has seen the bridge going to fourchon. Look it up on google earth. Thats where all the road funding for the last and next decade went.

Elon has dealt with savvy politicians all over the world but he is about to get a master class on fleecing by Louisiana Politicians once this thing is all said and done

It really is mind boggling. There has been talk that an airport will be built down there as well.
I'm quite sure a lot of that has been considered based on what they already did in Texas. Texas even as remote as that was had much better infrastructure closer from my understanding, could be wrong.
But they are going to have to build a lot, AND it is all going to need to be very hurricane resistant as well.

Apparently Al Gore didn’t inform Elon about rising sea levels.

Maybe I-410 finally gets built and the westbank rebirth happens

Where the site is, why wouldn't they make a 4-lane due south of Crowley? Maybe they can finally widen I-10 to 6 lanes between Iowa and Laffayette.
