Dude, you want this drama to be real so bad...

There's no conspiracy to run with, douchebag. It's simply a matter of opinion.

Your view would be the conspiracy
How can you not see that??

So y’all really think a guy, even Will Smith, just walks up on stage and bitch slaps the host, without anybody bothering to do anything about it? There’s no way this shite is real.
Yeah I think it was real. I don’t think Rock would let himself get slapped or Smith would be screaming cuss words and crying just to give the Oscars ratings. Neither of them need the money, either.
If it was a washed up actor maybe, or someone like Nick Cage who will do anything for a check.

Not to mention a clear case of assault, captured on live TV and the LAPD is doing nothing but “investigating” while no charges are being filed.
Very believable

You can take the boy out of the ghetto but you can’t take the ghetto out of the boy.

Yea man, celebrities never ever get away with omitting crimes

He lacks the ability to critically think, I would say.

Critical thinking says it doesn't make sense for it to be fake
That's retarded, but expected.
Critical thinking is analyzing and coming up with various outcomes based on logic.
In between the stupid asses claiming some widespread conspiracy (there was none) and those saying it was real (lololol) there is a hell of a lot of ground to cover and many different scenarios.
So for your information, a critical thinker would explore varous options and weed out improbabilities.

meh, still ain't buying it, as a few have pointed out, you don't stand there with your hands behind your back literally sticking your face out to make a better target when someone draws their hand back to hit you
the fact that people believe Will Smith "lost his shite" over a terribly, unfunny, and hack joke as bad as "GI Jane Part 2" is what surprises me the most.
I get that in the heat of the moment you can snap, etc. But not sitting there laughing after joke after joke (including the joke in question) and then all of a sudden click and "lose your shite" over something that lame, that's where they lose me.

I don't really have a strong opinion on it being fake (one way or the other), but I am a bit curious as to why security let him waltz on stage, go back to his seat, and continue to shout from the crowd.
If you were working the event, beforehand you could believe it was just a bit and hesitate, but you'd think they'd have at least stepped in after the slap, right?

And logic says faking this does none of the things you claim it does.

I've explored them. It being fake is way less likely than it being real. Now quick call me a woman again.

ETA: unless it's staged

Two actors isn't a conspiracy.
The Oscars scripting the slap would be a conspiracy.

It’s almost like Smith forgot he was supposed to go up there and do something. He laughs for a solid 10 seconds after the GI Jane II joke and only approaches Rock after Jada gives him the stink eye.
Smith “forgot his lines” so to speak
