Seems to be taking a ridicules amount of time to finish work on the repair of Sherwood Forest. Old road asphalt has been gone for over a month. Work has seemed to have stoped. What the hell. Finish the job.

I know asphalt plants have had trouble getting rock down the river from Kentucky due to the Mississippi River levels

Man, I was just thinking of making a post on this today. It’s absurd. Tear it up and it just sits there.

it's been at least 3 months.
I know the river is high but come on. It should not take that long.

Going with the low bidder bites again.

By this point they could’ve hauled it down here in the beds of DOTD F-150s.

It’s payback for St George. If you don’t suckle from the mayors teet you can expect delays from now on.

The high river is preventing them from being able to get the materials.

I think the road would be fine if they just scrape the rest of the asphalt off the concrete.

Considering their goal is the road "diet" you have to wonder if they are intentionally dragging it out to get people used to the shite traffic.

I think you're right. By the time they finally finish this project, people will have forgotten what a 4 lane Government Street was like and think that their goofy road diet is an improvement.

Both the Sherwood Forest and Government street jobs are Barber Brother jobs.

Get ready, those two projects are no where close to done.

Ascension residents get a taste too, Barber is on the Hwy 42 widening.

Amazing how that company is still allowed to bid on jobs in Louisiana.

Considering that the road contractors own DPW, long delays shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Can't repave an existing road and hate to see them attempt a loop.
I remember Essen/I10 was messed up for years beyond schedule.
