I thought UH was a good school. You don't understand how visitors equal $$$ and $$$ means better developments and equity for property owners in the city LOL
I dont care. I dont think you understand.
I just want simplicity. I dont need your tourism money. Im good. I just want to chill with civilized people until I pass away.
Until then, I dont really care about tourists or trying to impress anyone to come to where I live lol. Please dont actually. Stay away, go visit Atlanta.
I just want to stack cash and enjoy my people.

Because the port is still a shell of its former self and will never get back to its former glory. It’s infuriating how much business we’ve lost over the decades

Are you retarded or having a seizure?

NOLA
High crime
Bad schools
Constant destructive weather events
Hot as hell most months
Primary industry is tourism
It's shocking the population isn't declining faster. Just wait now that FEMA isn't here to step in anymore

And one of the fastest growing White populations in the last 2 decades. From 27% to 32%.
This is hard to fathom. Did they only take readings in Chalmette?

I don’t really understand how New Orleans can grow…
It is not like there is a ton of undeveloped, useable land. We don’t have/want many large apartment complexes other than the CBD condos.
If you look at areas like central city, you see can see that much of the multi family housing has been torn down and replaced with luxury single family homes used for Airbnbs.

Pray for a Cat 5 hurricane to wipe out the riff raff. Problem solved.

Ironically Chalmette is more black than it used to be…

The NS and JP have made the gains that NOLA was "supposed" to receive through the last few decades.

If Helena Marino wins the mayoral election, though she’s a lib, I think New Orleans will start that trend and prosper. It’s a gut feeling. It needs to be quick but the business people can drive that I love the place. Its head over heels better than most cities with all its “problems”.

The business people took an election off when Latoya got elected, I can assure you that will not happen again.
The market in NO for young, enterprising slingers of crack is small, can’t make any money. But you can get rich (so they think) in Houston and Memphis. So that’s where the 9mm boys go and when they go crime goes down in NO.
That’s the out migration, the in migration is smaller but it’s a better cut of citizen. White, educated with money. Lots from Austin, Denver and California. When they buy a house it’s with cash. And they have these things I haven’t seen in NO in decades….children. Pretty common now to walk around Tchop and see non tourist families with kids.
Helen’s will be welcome relief, she gets it and can actually get things done.

By 2035 it’s going to be Nuevo Orleáns.
Capital of Honduras.
Capital of Honduras.

Also Atlanta will have a White and middle class plurality by 2030. New Orleans needs to follow the Atlanta blueprint. A city that went from mostly poor and Black to mostly White and middle class in 20 years. If Atlanta can do it, so can New Orleans. Atlanta is expensive just like New Orleans ... that's one of the biggest driver for the change. But the ATLANTA BRAND is able to attract a lot more affluent people from outside Georgia as well, that's where New Orleans fail.
Every time I walk past the “your Passover headquarters” sign at my Kroger, I know I’ve made it.

One of the problems is that you cant raise a family in New Orleans. The only white people that can move there are trust fund liberals. There is no place for working class whites. There is little hope of justice for your family if you go before a black New Orleans judge(same as any urban place) and the perp is who harmed your family is a black man. Who would take the chance to live in a place like that?
