I have no idea what a smocked dress is. I consider this a good thing.

My wife does it with our daughter too. That shite looks hideous. If I’m the one taking her to day care, she looks normal and decent. I never know what I’m getting when my wife does it

It’s an ugly old fashioned clothing style for children that seems to be big for some reason in the South.

I think it's a little ridiculous at times (no kids) but I'm not sure it's ugly on little kids.

I do think there are certain places, like Montgomery Alabama, who have extremely weird standards for this stuff. The whole 9 year olds wearing smocked clothes and not wearing shoes to church shite is very odd.

It’s only remotely acceptable on little girls. The boys stuff is just horrible. Like they are dressed like little boys were in the 1850s or something.

Something the ex and I actually agreed on. Some people gifted our daughter smoked clothing and that shite was promptly donated.

My wife orders them straight from China. They take several weeks to come in but only cost about $5.

My ex-wife used to dress our daughter exclusively in smocked dresses. Other than the cost, I didn't mind because it was extremely cute. However, at age 5 she started to fight it like a mofo. I think her sitters were all wearing nike shorts and t shirts and she wanted to dress like them. It's been like that ever since.

I should own stock in Banbury Cross.

Smocked is ok on kids under 4 imo. It's how you can pick out the rich kids and families. Pokemon and Marvel tshirts from Walmart = poors.

Smocked is better than the embroidered everything. I see people who have their kids in embroidered shirts for every occasion (Christmas, Mardi Gras, Easter, July 4th, football season, crawfish season, snoballs season etc. Always has the kid's name too. Trashy as frick

Do you have no control over your wife? Smocked clothing looks like a form of torture on little boys. I bet even gay fathers wouldn’t subject their adopted sons to such gay looking clothing

why would people downvote this?

Some soyboys have their sons dressed in smocks?
