She hates when you have a good time. It's time to move on.

This definitely didn't happen, but 8/10 on the troll job. Well done.

Edited to add:

Took my family out to dinner last night at a hibachi place. The chef and I killed it from start to finish, like we had worked together for years perfecting an act. He’d hit me with a one liner, I’d throw it right back, and we’d go back and forth cracking up the table. When he was going around the table flipping food into everyone’s mouth, I caught the first one, he then stepped further back and I caught the second one, then I said wait let me go deep and I went to the back wall and I caught it again to a big cheer from other tables. It was hilarious, but my wife said she’s not doing hibachi with me again. Did I take it too far?

^ you’re one of those guys. I just normally refuse to engage tell the dude we’re hungry, they don’t throw shite, and we get our food and go home. If I want dinner theatre I’ll go to Medieval Times.

let me guess.... you're wife is also one who "get's tired" and wants to go home when you start having fun at a party, any friend you get close to becomes a problem for some reason or another and you can't see them anymore...you need an act of congress to engage in any of your hobbies.

These women are pretty common.... can't stand to not be center of your or anyone elses attention and joy. difference is I didn't marry the one I made the mistake of dating...sorry my guy

Those two parts tell me you went too far. Your wife may or may not be a count, regardless, but you went too far.

This is the correct answer. The crowd was slowly pulling back in cringe mode while you started doubling down.

I don't know if this is true or not, but, I like your style, sir.

Her version of this story:

He was obnoxious and controlled the conversation for the entire table all night. I was humiliated.
