I live in Old jefferson, EBRSO territory
Couple years ago my wife and then 2 year old were napping when the house alarm went off
She woke up in a panic called 911. Then called me
I made it from downtown to Old Jeff, no sheriffs ever showed. They called like an hour later seeing if they were still needed

When I was a kid, we had an accidental 911 call at my house - Sheriff was there in minutes.

It's a frickin shame what we let the takers do to Baton Rouge.

Probably a good decision…whether you sue them or not, it is the only way you’ll get cooperation.

Businesses have to have a sense of fear. I won't give my cameras to anyone but the police

What a shithole that you have to live in fear just to get gas.

Louisiana is such a piece of shite state.

This kind of shite happening where I’m at in Texas I can’t even fathom. Never in a million years would I even be slightly worried about this and I’ve never been approached by a vagrant or really even seen one anywhere near my neighborhood.

You really can’t escape the hood in Nola and BR.

Get an attorney TOMORROW and have them send a letter to preserve evidence etc... They’ll know what all to do. Sorry this happened.

As an aside, there was an instructive video of someone spraying an attacker with the gas hose recently. They didn’t accomplish their attack. Be safe.

didn’t read whole thread but in case no one said it. You should look at the adjacent business. I would think that dental place, Heromans, the nail salon across street or even the snowball stand behind might have cameras.

This is great advice!

I quit getting gas at gas stations and started going to Sam's or Costco (one is near home and one near work) because they have attendants watching the pumps and no more people approaching me for money.

If OP gets video, there is a camera on the front left, the front right, and on the left side of the store. There are also places that provide cover, and clear shooting lanes.

I spent a total of 28 years in BR and never got robbed. House did, though. That was back before alarms and such were common.

I lived in NOLA for about 23 years - never got robbed or house broken into. Times have changed.

Damn, dude... I honestly can’t imagine how you’re feeling. My heart goes out to you and your wife.

I hope you’re able to get this handled.

Lived uptown from 98 to 01 and had just got married and had a child. I can't tell you how glad I am to have relocated to West Palm Beach and planted routes here in '01. Missed Katrina and have now missed all the Chicago style Black violence.

My potnuhs fly crawfish in to boil here in the serenity of paradise with no state income tax and Disantis telling all you blue state fricks to eat shite. Crack on Florida all you want, but we are red pilled here and winning.

This is spot on. Why didn't this business protect your wife from getting attacked on their property? If there have been attacks in the area, then the business should have been on notice to provide enough security to business invitees on the property to keep them safe from attack, such as your wife.

That strange...at 7:30am. Those Racetracs are usually packed as shite at that time in the morning

So some dude just randomly hit your wife over the head with a pipe for no reason at a gas station at 730 am and just ran away?

thats your story?

How long did you live in New Orleans as a tax paying adult over the age of 18?
