As a woman, I have the opposite problem. I can’t get enough.

My wife and I just had the "schedule it" conversation. I'm an everyday to every other day kinda guy and she would be fine with once or twice a week. We settled on scheduling Tuesday, Thursday & Saturdays. I was initially unsure that it wouldn't feel robotic but I've come around to the idea more than I used to.

That’s game over. Time to trade her in for a new model.

I feel like if you address the issue, talk it out with a professional, provide some solutions and possible remedies and she's still not interested at all, then it's not the man deciding to end the marriage.

would never cheat on her.

I think you eventually will. Not even trying to be an arse. What she is asking you to do is not fair. You’ll get fed up eventually.

Early 50's and understand what you're saying. I can't really give you any advice. I'll just say I understand what you're going through. Mine hasn't said she is done. If she did, I don't think I could go much further with it. But still it's to the point of maintenance for her.

If you aren't upset that your lifelong partner who you threw in with has decided your interests aren't in her interests, then don't be surprised if it never changes. To me, it's unacceptable for her to not want to make you happy sexually even if that doesn't mean intercourse. It's her saying she couldn't care less about you. To me, that's the underlying issue. Doesn't matter if it's sex or anything else. I'd be seriously considering a consultation with a lawyer.

Looks like your libido AND memory are failing you.

Yeah, I'm about to be 44 and I can promise you that mine isn't the same already as it was when I was 24

I love how people in these threads act like this is so abnormal and something must be done. I mean, at some point, I'm guessing most couples don't really want to go to town anymore. So, when is that normal?

Not in your early 50's that's for sure.

It is, and something should be done about it

I kind of know how you feel, mine cut me down to once a week.

I don't feel too bad about it though, she cut two other fellas clean out

Not saying it's ok and perfectly acceptable but if cheating indeed happens, your wife will have a considerable share of the blame. A lions's share even.

Marriage is a give and take partnership and if she isn't taking care of her man and keeping him happy, she should not be shocked to find him in another woman's bed.

Early 50s seems pretty young to me to abandon your sex life.
