The kid will immediately become a bigger since of pride than you ever thought you’d have. My boys are six and four and there isn’t a day that goes by where they don’t amaze me. Even if it is “holy shite, I have no idea how you survived that.”

Imagine being “proud” of a kid when you could’ve taken $600 bucks and built a battle bot

Mine is only one but sometimes I can’t believe how he can melt down another robot with his flamethrower. Wins me a lot of money and all I gotta do is drive to the old Cortana parking lot every Sunday night

This would be our first child. Only been married a short time. Still in our 20’s.

Trying to come to grips on how my world is about to change.

Cheers.....

Congrats dude. My first is 3 weeks old as of today. It’s surreal in all of the best ways.

Do not have a gender reveal party in your area if it hasn’t rained in a while!

Disagree. One was the true shell shocker. Similar to OP, got pregnant right after wedding. Absolute game changer in life. Everything you knew before is different afterwards. Good news is it’s an early investment to enjoying your 40’s without so much responsibility.

Number 2 was a walk in the park once your already doing the young kid phase.

We did not plan on doing it in our 20’s either but now that we are 4+ years Into it, I’m glad we did it young while we still have the energy. You won’t regret it in the long run but anyone who says it’s easy in your mid 20’s is either lying or has constant help from their parents/in-Laws. We did it alone and away from family and it was not easy at first but you learn and adapt. It will be fine In the long run.

Just found out I’m 3 for 3 on making girl babies. Yes, your world is about to change, BUT it will be for the better no matter what. Congrats and enjoy the fun times ahead!

With all due respect, if anyone is an expert.....it’s a dad of 6 children.

I would like to add that breastfeeding is freaking awesome if the wife is willing...no telling how much weight I put on during that time.

Whoever said this: “Do everything in your power to get your wife to breast feed. This will absolve you of at least a few weeks of waking up in the middle of the night” Is wrong - if your wife wants to breast feed then support her, if not, then support that - some women simply cannot or prefer not to. I have six children - I am not an expert but the relationship and the sex will be a lot better if you listen to her and try to help. Your life will change and it’ll be hard, but it’s worth it. You would be a crazy person to not start encouraging your wife to plan to breastfeed.

For sure it’s incredibly difficult for some women and while others produce enough milk for five babies. But there are tons of supplements that work great to help those that struggle.

The health benefits of breast milk are too long to list. Her boobs know when the baby is sick and will produce more antibodies to fight off whatever the baby is dealing with.

A breast-fed baby shits like a crazy person so you will need to change those diapers in the middle of the night

This is isn’t necessarily true. Ours pooped every 7-10 days after the first couple weeks and breast milk poop doesn’t really even stink. It’s God’s way of warming you up to the real shite.

There is definitely a breaking point for women and the husband should be supportive if the wife decides it’s just too much.

I didn’t say not to - I said to support what ‘she’ wants bc it can drive some women crazy

And congrats on the pooping - our breast fed babies pooped every time they were fed - sometimes while they were being fed!! I’m so glad we decided against cloth diapers- and you are right - the poop isn’t bad unless you’re not expecting it and diaper is off - and it hits the wall!!!
