My wife in the past, more than 5 years ago threw out the divorce thing a couple times during a heated fight.
I told her the second time that I always want to be with her and will work to try and get us right. But, if she ever throws that D word out again, she had better mean it because if she does I will stop right there and be gone. Hasn’t happened yet.

in that profession, marriage and family therapists are considered the least educated, qualified, and skilled counselors, and are looked down upon by other types of counselors, this is not my opinion but what I've been told by clinical psychologists and psychiatrists in other areas of treatment/counseling, but having seen a few of the marriage and family counselors in action I tend to agree

Yep, there are things a female just isn’t going to understand so the counseling is really a waste of time. I bet over 80% of couples that go to counseling get a divorce. I think the females suggest it and just want to get a female “professional” to side with them and affirm what they want. They want the divorce but they don’t want anyone to say it was their fault.
