6 people can easily get in and once in are VERY comfortable.

Any parking space will do with the sliding doors. Don’t even have to think about your passengers dinging other cars.

Slick roads? No problem with the AWD.

That’s some frickin trunk space!

But Jon, with all that utility and features they have to cost an arm and a leg right? Not really. You can get one a couple years old with 30k or so miles on it for under $30k. They hold their value too! I saw a 2011 Sienna listed for $17k!

But Jon, none of the cool kids drive vans! You’re right, go ahead and get an overpriced “SUV” with less trunk space, a useless third row, pay more money, and looks like every other “SUV” on the road.

You know who drove a van? Marty frickin Byrde.

Agree. Minivans are by far the most practical vehicle for a family. Also much cheaper than the Tahoe that every MILF wants to keep up with the Joneses.

That said I would never buy a minivan

These threads pop up every couple months and I won't lie, they make me want to consider a minivan when I grow up or want an SUV.

But Jon, will it get me laid or just haul around some other broad’s kids to soccer practice?

Yay!! The last few weeks of pregnancy are rough. Longest weeks of my life. I’m so glad things are going well, and you’ll meet your baby soon

It looks nicer without the boogers on the backs of the seats and french fries under them.

I've been holding on to our 2005 Sienna... at 245k miles its beat the hell up but drives like a champ. Suspension still feels perfect and AC blows cold.

I would never get what its worth due to all the dents and dinks overtime. I don't have the heart to get rid of it so we use it as an extra vehicle and has come in handy when family needs a temporary.

If people did what’s practical all the time, their life would be boring. Enjoy your boring life.

Sienna is a great vehicle. We had one. Had plenty power too.

I never understood the idea that a SUV is “cooler” than a minivan when SUVs are ubiquitous and look the same. Nobody is impressed by your Explorer.

If the rear seats are down, you can only fit 4. I would imagine those reclining captain's chairs can only be used with the rear seat tucked away, if not, it would be tight for anyone back there. While the minivan is practical, there are limitations.

How does it compare to the Honda Odyssey, or is it just apples to apples and pick the once you like more?

our family vehicle growing up was a 78 Chevy full sized van with 8 track, CB radio and captains chairs in the back. You could run up and down the back of that van at full sprint while underway. pile 12 people in there easily. Tow a 24’ boat. Pile enough shite in there to camp for a week

best vehicle ever

I wish they dropped one onto a Tacoma frame.

But would like to have the AWD model.

Badass.

The Mercedes Sprinter comes in 4x4. I’ve been eyeing them for a travel rig.
