So, what I took away from this convo was....
Tattoos are ok for military
Tattoo are trashy and impulsive.
As an ex-military man, who has tats, from his days in the military, I would be deemed trashy and impulsive at first glance, by the bulk of the posters here.
Hmmmm...seems that most here are indeed impulsive to make snap decisions like that about someone. Also seems pretty trashy to think so low of an ex-military man.
Oh well. You guys do you. I am sitting here, drinking coffee, looking out at the beautiful Utah mountains from my very expensive house way up on the Bountiful benches (IYKYK). I can afford this house only because I am a trashy low-life who made impulsive decisions.

Some folks want to appear cool, edgy, hip, and some are just wanting to appear rebellious… like f’ the world …or are starving for attention. Tats are not like wearing trendy clothes or wearing your cap backwards, or saying all the dumb trendy words and phrases. They are there to stay …unless a person goes through the expensive removal process.
People are influenced by tv, movies, the people they hang out with, etc. What looks bad to me is to see a beautiful girl in her wedding gown exposing all her ugly tats … thus taking away from her beauty. Women need to realize that tats do not make you prettier.. just the opposite. However…. as the old saying goes…. beauty is in the eye of the beholder…. and… beauty is only skin deep. So…. you do you.

Tats just don’t do it for me. Nothing against anyone who has one. The only tat that made me tear up is we hosted some Vets hunting and one of the guys had a Purple Heart on his forearm. Seems he was injured 4 times by IEDs. Much respect given

Obviously you suspect there’s at least a germ of truth to the OT’s belief or you wouldn’t have responded at length.
If I had tats and honestly thought they weren’t trashy, I wouldn’t give a frick what anyone said about them. I certainly wouldn’t defend my decision to get them to strangers on the internet.
And additionally, just because someone has a nice home doesn’t make them trashy or not trashy. Michael Jackson had a far nicer home than you or I will ever have. He was a slime ball.
