Hole's guitarist recorded some demos with Kurt about a week before he died, at his house. They've never been released. ...

I remember during Coach Ks career at Duke theynhad a dry spell in the mid 90s and even had a losing season, but they kept him. And won 3 more titles. ...

Timing has a lot to do with it. It's April 11th. Most tournament coaches don't get fired, so...you either lure away a guy who's comfortable somewhere or hire an NBA guy. ...

Even Bama's bad coaches had success. Dubose won an SEC title...Fran won 10 games and shut Saban out at Tiger Stadium. Shula won 10 games. They weren't great but never sank to Tennessee type level. ...

Yeah, but Cal didn't have a farewell tour like Coach K. He left unexpectedly after the season, kinda like Saban tbh. Coaching searches were pretty much over, guys that made the tournament usually don't get fired. Weird timing...

I don't know what some people were expecting. Look at Duke and UNC hires after Coach K and Roy stepped down. But they have a history of that, going back to the guy right after Dean Smith. Coach K was a nobody and almost got fired after a couple years at Duke. Blue bloods don't always get a big name....
