You're driving across country. You get a flat tire in rural Missouri. At night. No moon. Pitch black. You take out your trusty rayovac plastic flashlight to change the tire. Some meth monkeys come out of nowhere. It was a booby trap. They set spikes in the road and now they're going to take everything you own and make you squeal like a pig. How long until anyone even knows you're dead? If only you'd had a TACTICAL FLASHLIGHT BAW!
No, you need a Trunk Monkey for that situation.

The Native Americans might say something different. As might the Asian Americans during WW2. So might those at Waco and Ruby Ridge. Not to mention the entire war of northern aggression.
Not to mention:
Shay's Rebellion
The Whiskey Rebellion
Frie's Rebellion
The Mormon War
The Bleeding Kansas Episode
The Homestead Strike
The Students at Kent State
The Dorr Rebellion
There's about 90 more

Marketing.
Slap the word tactical, military-grade, industrial, etc on anything outdoor product and people will pay out of the arse for it.
I'm not saying these things are bad products, but paying $100 for a flashlight, $300 for an ice chest, or $80 for a multi-tool is easier to stomach when it's a tactical flashlight, an industrial ice chest, or a military-grade multi-tool.

No attacks of civilians in 239 years? Sounds like the 2nd amendment is working as intended then.

I have one because its a lot brighter than most flashlights. I use it when I take my dog out at night. I live in the country and like to be able to see what's roaming around in the yard.

Tell that to the children at the branch dividian complex
Bad enough to do what the Feds did?
I dunno, but let's not kid ourselves that the Branch Davidians were like an Episcopal Women's Prayer group.
It was a larger scale of the 1985 MOVE assault in West Philadelphia (born & bred). We don't hear much about that event.
These "Invasions" by the Feds will happen again and some of them we will cheer because they'll be clear-cut preemptive strikes on inarguably bad groups.
For me in general these types of invasions get filed under "Goof balls play with fire and they get burnt."
My threat level of this happening to me is low as I pay my taxes and I don't frick 13 year-olds as the leader of a cult (like Koresh) so I'm not much of a target on the Feds' radar.

No idea what makes it “tactical” but it’s small, bright, and strong. So I like it.

When I was in middle school if you didn't have a mag light you weren't shite.

They are awesome on firearms. Put that fricker on flicker and your attacker is screwed.

I can't remember if it was the young boy they shot in the back or the women holding an infant they sniped in the face that was a terrorist... refresh my memory please.

Every now and then you will - "'Member when the cops actually bombed people in Philly? Yeah, I 'member."

Mother frickers love flashlights. That's all I know. It seems like on one side of my family, during christmas when the guys do the whole white elephant thing, there are usually like 3+ flashlights as gifts and the people who get them sit around "oh this is a good flashlight. I can put this one in my boat and use the one I have in now to put in my shop in case the other 5 flashlights in there go out. Maybe I can't take one out of the shop and put in the boy's room. That's the only room in the house that doesn't have a good flashlight".

You ever try to take on a pack of zombies at night without a tactical flashlight?
Good Luck!!!
