Let's say it's dark and you're in New Orleans. Group of 3 men are running towards you, one has a bat, the others may have guns.
You have one gun.
Would you rather have it or not have it?
I'd rather have it.

The funniest thing about that meme is you think that's a "military-grade" gun.
Idiot.

Ruby Ridge was truly a fricked up deal by the United States, but Waco was a little different. They were the ones that blasted an FBI/ATF agent first. They then likely set some of the fires themselves and didn't get all their kids out with plenty of opportunity. Two different scenarios, IMO.

You remember that they had shot an agent on the roof prior to all this, right?

I can't remember if it was the young boy they shot in the back or the women holding an infant they sniped in the face that was a terrorist... refresh my memory please.

Fixed it for you, buddy!
What? Randy was a pawn. Dude just wanted to live in the woods with his family.
They invaded his home on the charge of sawing off 2 shotguns, and shot his kid and then his wife through the door while she held their baby? bullshite.
They tried to paint him as a terrorist, and all that was proven to be bs when he won a multi-million dollar civil suit against the U.S.
ETA: I missed the sarcasm

It was at least one dead, but I didn't want to misquote and have my whole post be disregarded. I think they shot 2 or 3, one died. There was a firefight with the people inside before any of the bad shite went down.

We really need an emoticon to clearly indicate sarcasm.

You ever try to take on a pack of zombies at night without a tactical flashlight?

I succumbed to curiosity and looked it up. Initial raid, 4 agents killed and 18 wounded.

I remember there being some justification. Holy hell, they had every right to storm the place at that point.
Koresh wouldn't get his 20 or so kids out and they all died with their loser parents. Sad.

It was a larger scale of the 1985 MOVE assault in West Philadelphia (born & bred). We don't hear much about that event.
One of the FBI agents on the scene went on to open a restaurant in Monroe after he retired.

The following leaves tons out of course...BUT, They went in under sketchy claims and out-of-date info AND the Davidians were tipped off. (In route, they had to ask a mail carrier how to get there! Turns out he was the BiL of Koresh!) HOWEVER, they DID negotiate for 50-odd days before the final assault. I'm not sure if it could possibly been handled worse by both sides.
Sad.
Sad.

The word tactical gets a man's testosterone going, and he buys things in impulse like a woman.

Ed, I apologize. A couple of us drifted.
Sorry.
