Because drivers licenses are too easy to get.

Get the frick over if you see someone entering from the on ramp. Give them space to get on and then get back in the right lane. That way no one has to even touch the brakes.

Doing so reinforces the dumbass mergees belief that they are doing nothing wrong. Sometimes you have to show a dumbass that what they’re doing is wrong because they are too dumb to realize they are doing it wrong.

Why are you in such a hurry? Are you late for your job? Someone can work the drive thru window until you get there. Just because the speed limit says 75, under certain conditions, rain, fog excess traffic, do you still insist on doing the posted speed limit? If you are leaving a parade and there are a lot of people crossing the street, do you still insist on doing the posted speed limit? Slow your 2008 Altima with the mini-spare on one rim down, you are not in that much of a hurry.

If there's room, I'm already over before I even know how fast they're going. No reason to be an a-hole. I get the point if the interstate is busy and there's not room to get into the left lane.

They likely aren't doing anything wrong. It doesn't take a fricking scientist to realize that an accelerating vehicle is going slower than cars on the road.

That's why you move over and then get back in once you are past them.

My signal light on a merge is not asking for permission, it's a warning that I'm coming over. If you rear end me in the right lane at 75 mph while I'm merging onto the interstate, then you better have a really outstanding lawyer or great insurance.

Nope. Not my problem. If I’m not passing, not leaving the right lane. Better speed that arse up or you’ll be in the trees or you'll hit me and then Gordon will own your arse

Sounds like you'll be the one to hit them if you rear end them.

You are part of the problem with modern, terrible drivers.

I won’t rear end you. You’ll hit my side and entered my lane. And again Gordon will own you

Jonny rocket trying to merge at 45 on the on ramp is absolutely doing it wrong. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize, hey, the speed limit is 70mph, maybe I should reach that speed in order to merge into the traffic safely.

Every single day I have people trying to merge in front of me going 30-40 mph all up 110 all the way through Baton Rouge.

If I can get my big arse Jeep up to speed on the north street on ramp and merge at traffic speed, you can get your vehicle up to speed.

You're hyperbolizing for effect when it is likely not/rarely the case. Either way, move over and then get back when you have passed them.

Every. fricking. Day. At damn near every. fricking. On ramp in Baton Rouge. It isn’t hyperbolizing. It’s a god damn epidemic around Baton Rouge.

In Montana, right lane drivers have no legal obligation to let merging vehicles in. It’s great.

Granted, I can think of about 3 places in this entire state where the highway is more than 2 lanes on a side, but still.

Look, a shithead that can't figure out how to properly merge with traffic now feels personally attacked by the OP.

You...... you do know that the responsibility of merging lies solely on the car that is doing the merging.

Ie. if you merge into another car, you’re at fault. Not the car on the interstate that you merged into....
