It's acceptable for a grown man to piss in the ladies restroom, and for parents to allow their young children to cross dress but he draws the line at ketchup on hotdogs

We have a winner.
It is childish because when you are supposedly from a place where the depth of culinary thought is how to make a hot dog and let's put deep bread on a pizza, these things matter. When you are from a place like Louisiana with a cuisine like Creole and Cajun cooking, a hot dog is something you eat quickly to hold you until you can get to some real food. It really does not matter what anyone wants to put on it.

That is my thought. A hot dog isn't some culinary delicacy. It is a damn piece of processed mixed up meat in a cheap bun. It shouldn't be a big deal.

Feel free to put whatever toppings (pimento cheese, chilli, etc) you want on your hot dog, but if you are eating a plain hotdog on a bun, ketchup is a mortal sin.

Obama is from Chicago, which has its own style of hotdogs. It isn't crazy to understand why he jokes about not putting ketchup on hot dogs. I imagine he would have a similar response about thin crust pizza.
