Per JBE in his press conference.

"We are hopeful that we are going to meet the requirements for phase 1, hopefully sooner than later."

Can someone please show me the numbers that show we have not met the threshold?

Taken from the earlier thread. Credit Golfer.

-14 day rolling average of new cases is trending down for the last 8 days.

-14 day rolling average of deaths is trending down for the last 3 days.

-14 day rolling average of hospitals and vents is WAY down.

Credit TigerSEC2010 for the table.

All the numbers have been trending down for the last 18 days and we aren't opening up. Please someone tell me why?

Because every individual who makes up all levels of the LA government are unqualified for their position and the state is generally bad at everything,

That shouldn’t be surprising, unless you just moved to LA.

I haven't watched one of his press conferences in a couple weeks since I don't like being talked to like I'm a 5 year old. Have any reporters pushed back on anything lately during the press conferences?

And Latroya will promptly cancel 2029 Mardi Gras. Better safe than sorry.

Actually, while Golfer's charts indicate a severe drop off in hospitalizations and vent usage, those charts are derived using the net change day to day numbers. Please note the following:

1. LDH is reporting only the number in hospitals today and not the number admitted to hospitals today.

2. LDH is not reporting the number of recoveries released from hospitals.

3. LDH is not reporting if any of the deaths occurred outside of a hospital.

4. The correct formula for determining the new total hospitalizations is:

New total hospitalized = old total hospitalized - deaths reported today + deaths reported today out of hospital - releases from hospital due to recovery + patients hospitalized today.

Written another way:

Patients Hospitalized today = new total hospitalized - old total hospitalized + deaths reported today - deaths reported today out of hospital + releases from hospitals due to recovery.

The Patients Hospitalized today is the number that should be used in a graph to determine a rolling average of change in hospitalization. However, this calculation is impossible to make from the info that is being provided from LDH. While I suspect that the slope of the rolling average is a declining one, without knowing the recovery releases on a daily basis this calculation cannot be accurate.

The calculation for today's number of new hospitalizations today (using the info we have)

new hospitalizations today = 1794 - 1748 + 32 - ? + ? = 78. Now, if 2 died out of hospital and 10 patients where released the calculation would become 1794 - 1748 + 32 - 2 + 10 = 86 new hospitalizations today.

Really?

You take out some of the cardio equipment to where they are no less than 6 feet apart

You do the same with free weights and machines

You close the basketball courts and such if applicable and move the equipment to there to help with spacing etc etc

Not that hard at all
