It really is.

I just have to be real disciplined at certain times. Especially a couple weeks before a big race. I know the damage I am going to do to me after the CCC tomorrow will hurt my performance for the Half Ironman in two weeks, but my main goal is an Ironman later this year. Pizza and beer are my two biggest cheats. If offered, I hardly ever say no to either.

What's going to be hard is tightening up the ship when football season starts.

And that is hard for so many people to deal with. Someone may do little work and maintain a great looking physique, but someone else may have to devote tons more time to it and be way more restrictive on their diet and lifestyle. The understanding that the visual abs is not indicative of how strong someone's core is or how healthy they are helps people grasp that being very healthy is not only attainable, but much more common than they think. They are just brainwashed to think what healthy and strong looks like.

I have a six pack but it requires so much work. I can lose it in an instant so lots of times I just stick with the 4 pack. It doesn't look as good, but whatever.

Agreed. Before I got into traithlon and what not, I was focused on weight loss and looking good.

Then, the more I learned my focus morphed into being healthier, not just what looked best. Then as I started to use triathlon for exercise and cardio I enjoyed the racing and training component so now my goals are different and not as concerned with whether or not it's a 4 or 6 pack. Some times of the year, as the training really amps up I get leaner but it isn't like I am trying to get leaner. Especially if it negatively impacts my performance. I've got about a 8lb swing between my biggest months and my leanest months and anything outside of that and I start to feel bad.

Six packs on a chick are disgusting. I don't want a fat girl, but I don't mind a little padding. I like soft women, not running my hands over a 6 pack.

But you aren't a "dad" right?

I don't have a 6 pack now, but i've been laying on my arse with broken bones since Halloween pretty much. Put on probably 20 lbs

But If I decided to get a pretty defined 6 pack, I could work out and eat healthy and have one by May.

Thank god for good genes and metabolism

At this stage of my life (I'm 38), I can understand this viewpoint. My abs are still visible, but to have a true, ripped six pack I need to lose about 15 lbs. when I was younger and competed in bodybuilding, having a perpetual six pack was super important to me. I did 2 hrs of cardio per day, every day, and carried tuna fish and oatmeal in a gym bag wherever I went. It didn't matter to anyone else but me. Doors of financial freedom didn't magically open, Penthouse pets weren't throwing themselves at me, ...I was an insecure guy who thought a certain look would change my life. It didn't. The effort and sacrifice required was brutal to get to that point, and after s few years, I decided that it just wasn't worth it. I'm still better built than 95% of the other men out there and have no problem attracting gorgeous women now. Sexiness is how you project yourself. Not a body fat percentdge

It's pretty straight forward

I don't hate anyone and I like most people. Even people I find nasty or disgusting or nastily disgusting

But I do some nasty shite and have lived some pretty nasty lifestyles, so no hate. I'm just thankful to the man upstairs I don't have to live my life worried about being fat.

Naaa she looks like the type that thinks she maybe above giving a solid BJ. She probably thinks she fricks like a champ but isn't nearly as good as she thinks.... that's just the attitude I get from her.

I think women with 6 packs still get their periods. It's all about your health/weight.
