I can do the same as long as I'm active and running/cardio one hour per day. Pizza, wings, beer...

I mean those are basically the same thing.

The topic is visible abs (6 pack)...that and a strong core are not the same thing...which is what she is saying.

The core goes down to the glutes, hips, etc....nothing visible in the abs at all.

Probably active as all get-out I would imagine. I have a friend who eats Caines on the reg, burgers weeekly, pizza every single sunday and still looks like he did when he played college football

i mean, we are pretty active and workout regularly. But she isn't that active, certainly less active than me.

She just got great genetics. her father has them too, he eats like a fattie but is relatively trim for a sedentary 70 year old that consumes 2000+ calories a day (he is 5'2").

Six-packs on chicks are GROSS. I like women to have a softness to them. Not huge and fat, but when I caress a woman I want her to feel like a woman, not a man.

Totally agree with this. I have a six-pack, but I'd never want my woman to have one. Just get that booty nice and tight and bubbly, and I'm good to go baby.

I do too, to an extent. Just not every day though. His diet includes fast food wheras mine just allows it and I am active as hell.

Yes it will, it means you are not eating crap.

Supporting it with the right food would shrink that belly

You do not have to train abs to get a six pack

Visible abs =/= strong core

Thats the point.

Yes. The problem is that a fat girl is making that point.

Lsufan what do you think of toes to bar as a core exercise? I have been incorporating them into my routine but do not feel them in my abs as much as other moves.

Quite frankly, it's a point about which I care very little. I'm just making an observation that the OP is about a fat girl making that point.

It's not a requirement bc very few people have them.

There is a certain genetic aspect, as well - and, unless there is something structurally wrong with you, everyone has a "six-pack" - the rectus abdominis - actually 8 compartments - but these are not visible, normally, on well-nourished people.

Bodybuilders and fitness athletes develop them on purpose for aesthetics, other athletes often develop them because it is a natural extension of their activity level, nutrition and genetics.

Some people just have them naturally. But, they are not a barometer of fitness - particularly in women who, all other things considered, have bodyfat percentages 60 to 100 percent greater than males of comparable health, nutrition and activity levels.

As for the girl in the OP?

Good for her, but I see a lot of BS in that article.

The outline of abs on a woman is sexy. Ftw.

No, you said it was a problem that she is making the point. That's a criticism, not an observation.

If someone who doesn't have 6 pack abs shouldn't make the point that having 6 pack abs are vastly overrated, who should? Should everyone who has them to make the point?

Her opinion is shared by many experts in the field of health and wellness, but because bro's can't understand it, they shun it.
