I want to display the image of a BASE jumping adrenaline junkie, and my Chevy Equinox does that. No minivan can do that.

Most women don't know enough about automobiles to have an opinion, to be truthful.

If my old lady drove a minivan, she wouldn't be my old lady anymore.

My wife has one and wouldn’t drive anything else. Our 3 & 5 year old can climb in easily, the vehicle itself isn’t big and bulky meaning it’s easier to drive, and she gives zero fricks what people think of her driving a minivan. She is definitely practicality over cosmetics in that sense.
Bingo! Wife drove Camry’s for years then had kids. Drove 2 Explorers then realized the minivan was easier for kids with sliding doors and room along with much more comfortable ride with all the bells and whistles. Explorers ride rough. She never liked the bigger SUV I think because she is short.

that thing was a road trip dream.
I drove a minivan on a road trip with 5 adults and 1 child. It was an amazing drive. I ended up driving 1,000 miles in 1 day.

A mini-van with sliding side doors is way more utilitarian than an SUV. Plus the back seats in the new ones can go into the floorboard with the touch of a button giving you all kid of extra space
So much room for activities

I got in a wreck my senior year of high school and the rental that was given to my parents was a toyota van. that thing was awesome, we would take it crabbing and shite. got it stuck on holly beach.

This mindset is why soon the country will be majority black and Hispanic.

Because if you take a minivan and label it a “crossover” people think it’s suddenly cooler and worth more. It’s absurd. Everyone is driving “SUV’s” that look like minivans and are based on car chassis rather than truck chassis and still pretending to be elitist towards minivans like they’re not already driving one.

SUVs burn more gas. Driving a lower mileage vehicle is the mom's way of showing her support for Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries.

But, I guess people are scared they won't look cool and hip. It's great getting older and no longer caring what others think.
Letting everyone know as frequently and loudly as possible that you don't care what people think is is the new "I'm cool and hip" mantra.

I'm waiting for being old and cranky to be hip and cool.

I grew up riding in Chrysler Town & Country's. My mom & dad owned 4 different ones throughout my childhood.
Nothing bad about them at all. Had the stow n go, DVD with flip down screens in the rear, bumping sound system, automatic doors/hatch, and all of the other goodies. Pretty sweet for early 2000's.
The 2001 model we owned had a shite ton of electrical problems, but otherwise they were all pretty solid as far as reliability, especially for a Chrysler product.
