The seemingly endless commercials have driven me away. Anybody remember when the History channel was actually about 'history'?

Oh, youre that babylon 5 guy.
Firefly died because Fox and Whedon feuded.
BSG told its story and Syfy gets cheaper stuff out of canada now but Futurama still gets more ratings than killjoys or killer queen.
Farscape told its story but is cost prohibitive to start up another series like it nowadays.
Lexx would bring down the PC fire.
Tripping the rift would do the same while sucking.
The cbs all access shows suck.
Voyager sucked.
Enterprise sucked.
Amazon is gambling with Ringworld but both Netflix and it have put all solid feelers for SciFi moving back to space on tv.

They fell off a lot when they adopted the "reality tv" format....A network founded on historic documentaries adopted scripted content that's anything BUT reality.

Because authors of TV shows started writing male characters as stupid and undesirable. Or as characters that weren't attracted to women.
