This. When’s the last time you had a strong male character in a show? Middle Class white males 18-45 are no longer a target demographic for tv outside of sports. You think it’s coincidence that the NFL suppressed the Kap bullshite with the quickness as soon as it started to affect that demographic?

Breaking Bad
Mr. Robot
Ozark
Better Call Saul
The Americans
Star Trek: Picard
The Mandalorian
Game of Thrones seasons 1-5
The Witcher

And there’s a reason why every single one of those is on a streaming service.

LSU has just as many national title wins against Clemson as Alabama does.

And none of the losses.

Television programming in general is pure garbage, and very uninteresting and entertaining. Other than football, I tend to gravitate to old movies on TCM, Watching ze Germans on AHC, weeding through the mindless new movies to find the golden nuggets here and there, or just watching YouTube stuff. How I can have all those channels and still not find anything redeeming to watch is truly amazing, but there it is.

TV is loaded with crap now. Political views are crammed down our throat on top of it.

I just don't have the attention span for television drama and storylines. My brain is drained by all day at the office. Family Guy and American Greed are about all I can do.

I want a streaming service to update all in the family, so I can watch the world melt. Outlandish humor is now offensive, and the offended can't just change the channel.

I would rather sit on my back porch, work in my shop, do yard work than sit inside and watch garbage TV.

It almost seems like everything has been done already and nothing is original. I kind of understand that it gets harder and harder to do original content but I just don't enjoy 90% of whats on TV.

The ONLY reason I still have cable was because of football season. If they cancel that I'm done.

I can't remember the last time I watched something on network television.

What? This thread is weird. Yeah, they're all on a streaming service now, but most were on traditional cable TV when they originally aired. Further, streaming service are still TV and OP specifically states "Why don't men watch TV anymore?" which is blatantly false. Even if you want to argue they don't watch scripted dramas or sitcoms (still untrue) they're watching Fox News which is still TV.

I mean, go to the Movie/TV board and see how much traffic it gets. You think that board is dominated by women?

My suggestion to this thread is for everyone to check out Ken Burns Presents "The Gene: An Intimate History" currently on PBS. Part 1 aired last week and part 2 will air tomorrow night. I read the book a few years back and it's great.

I’ve got to where I don’t watch TV anymore unless it’s for sports. TV is so bad now.

The last new series I watched was Manhattan on WGN and Halt Catch Fire on AMC.

NIp/Tuck and Ascension were good.

TV seldom doesn't suck.

Have you watched The Expanse? It's pretty awesome and is in the same genre as those shows.

Most men don't watch garbage TV- which dominates the TV landscape like "bro country" on the radio.

These's still some good programming available- you just have to look a lot harder for it.
